Step-by-Step: How to DIY Minnie Ears

Purple Disney character fabric cut into circles on a green cutting mat.

  1. Make Your Ear Templates

Draw two identical circles on cardboard or foam, then cut them out.

  1. Cut Fabric Pieces

Use your templates to cut four fabric circles (slightly larger than the ear template).

  1. Build Your Ears

Glue fabric around each cardboard circle, leaving a gap. Add stuffing to make them plump, then seal shut. Repeat for both ears.

  1. Attach to Headband

Glue your ears evenly onto the headband (measure so they line up perfectly).

  1. Add the Bow

If using a pre-made sequined bow, glue it between your ears. If you’re making your own, cut a rectangle of fabric, pinch in the middle, and tie with ribbon before gluing it on.

  1. Personalise with Pixie Dust

Add sequins, rhinestones, charms, or even small pins to match your favourite Disney theme.

Extra Tips

  • Use a soft headband so you can wear your ears comfortably all day in the parks.
  • Try themed designs: Christmas Minnie ears, Halloween Minnie ears, Princess ears, or even cruise-inspired ears.
  • Craft a pair for your child to wear – it’s a fun way to get kids involved in the countdown to your Disney trip.
