Disney Trip Reveal Ideas for Kids (with Printable Scavenger Hunt)

Mickey-shaped balloons with a Disney trip reveal scavenger hunt pack in front, adding a touch of magic to the surprise experience.

Planning a Disney trip reveal is one of the most magical moments of any countdown — especially when you’re creating it with children in mind.

In our neurodiverse household, we don’t do over-the-top surprises. We gently build anticipation through visual tools, structure, and a sprinkle of play — and that’s exactly how our Disney scavenger hunt reveal came to life.

Here’s how you can create your own reveal moment with printable tools, sensory-friendly ideas, and joyful planning.

Why This Disney Trip Reveal Works for All Kids

A printable Disney trip reveal scavenger hunt is perfect for kids who love clues, routine, or just a bit of magic. Instead of a sudden announcement, it lets children uncover the surprise themselves — one step at a time.

We printed and laminated clues and hid them around the house. Each one led to the next, ending in a final sign that said: We’re going to Walt Disney World!

Add Visual Magic with Laminated Boarding Passes

To add to the magic — and prepare our children for what’s to come — I designed Disney boarding passes as part of the reveal. These can be added to your fridge as a daily visual reminder of the trip.

You can also role-play the airport experience beforehand, using the passes to practise check-in, security, and boarding. This is especially helpful for neurodivergent kids who find travel unpredictable.
